Moving Sucks… Unless You’ve Got Good Tunes.

I had to cancel last Sunday’s Round Table because I am in the process of moving. I am going to try to talk Derrick into hosting the Wednesday Show without me, but I will call in with the calendar info.

SO…

Since I have been loading/unloading, packing/unpacking, and not able to spend as much time on the site, etc; I made a trip to Zia Records yesterday and purchased a handful of cds. I figured why not get in some quality listening and work up some reviews for the site, since I can’t do much else while in transition.

I am pretty impressed with Zia’s collection of local music. If anyone can tell me how that works, let me know. Who says what local music they can sell, etc. I wanted to get a ton more, but started off with The Cover Up, Beyond the Citadel of Coup De Grace, The Stiletto Formal, and Antique Scream. I was just randomly grabbing disks from bands that I occasionally talk to on Myspace, and there are so many… I will definitely be back. Don’t be hurt if I didn’t get your disk this time around.

I have a couple I would like to write up before this weekends show at Chaser’s for Rising Conviction. I picked up their cds a while back on CDbaby.com, and have been putting off the review. Hopefully I can get my thoughts together and build an intellectual comment about the awesomeness (it should be a word) that is Rising Conviction, in the next couple of days.

I still have plenty of heavy stuff to move and tons of boxes to unpack…. don’t all jump up and offer to help at once :-P

    Hey there Zmara.
It’s bandrew from BTC. In order to be carried in the Local Section of Zia Records, bands need to send in a press pack with their cd to the Consignment Office. They decide wether or not they are going to carry it, and you just ship them cds to send to their stores. It’s basically all on the bands.

Good luck on moving. Your website is great, too bad it’s late here in Bangkok. I will come back and read your stuff soon.
